Simple Pasta with Garlic and Olive Oil   

Ingredients:  

  • 1 lb pasta (any kind)  

  • 3 tbsp olive oil  

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)  

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)  

  • Salt to taste 


Instructions:  

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.  

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic (or garlic powder) and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.  

3. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.  

4. If the pasta looks dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.  

5. Season with salt and a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat (optional).  

6. Serve as-is or with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired.
