From the Pantry Shelf: December 2024
Volunteer Spotlight, Anamarie Schell
What would you tell someone who is thinking about volunteering?
DO IT! More times than not, volunteering is the highlight of my week! Having the opportunity to give back to the community is so fulfilling and it gives me the chance to get to know the members of River Falls that I may not meet otherwise.
What do you wish other people knew about the River Falls Community Food Pantry?
Anyone and everyone is welcome at the pantry regardless of their personal/financial/social situations. The pantry is here to help and has the community's best interest in mind. As a volunteer, I think it's important to make the experience welcoming and safe so those who visit can return without judgment.
What do you do when you are not volunteering?
When I'm not volunteering, I am a full-time, third-year student at UWRF studying Agricultural Business and Conservation. I am a manager at AceHardware here in town when I'm not at school or volunteering.
