Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Break

As the days grow warmer and longer, so does the need for food in our River Falls community.

When school lets out for summer, many children lose access to the free or reduced meals they count on during the academic year. Families on tight budgets feel the pressure of extra meals at home. Seniors are forced to make heartbreaking decisions between food, medication, and other essentials.

Every summer, we see this need firsthand. Last year alone, visits to the River Falls Community Food Pantry rose exponentially, and this year, we anticipate even more.

That’s where you come in.

Thanks to supporters like you, we’re able to provide more than just food—we provide hope, dignity, and reassurance that no one in River Falls has to face hunger alone. Your generosity keeps our shelves stocked and spirits lifted.

But this summer, the challenge is growing.

  • Food costs are rising.

  • Donations are slowing.

  • Funding sources are being reduced.

  • And our pantry shelves are harder to keep full.

To meet this moment, we need your help.

A gift of any size—$10, $25, $100—truly makes an impact:

  • A child starts the day with a healthy breakfast.

  • A parent prepares a full dinner without skipping their own meal.

  • A neighbor walks through our doors and feels supported, not judged.

We’ve seen the difference your compassion makes: tears of relief turning into smiles of gratitude, quiet thank-yous spoken with more weight than words can carry.

Let’s make this summer one of strength, connection, and care.

For the kids. For the families. For the seniors. For River Falls.

Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to the nourishment and dignity they deserve.
